Bengaluru: In the wake of an uptick in Covid-19 cases in India, the state government issued more guidelines on Monday.

Wearing masks has been made mandatory in public places, workplaces and while traveling on public transport, Health Minister Dr. Sudhakar K said in a Tweet and urged “all eligible to get their precaution dose and stay vigilant by adhering to Covid appropriate behaviour.”

He also shared a copy of the chief secretary’s circular on the guidelines.

As per it, in addition to masks, “spitting in public places will be punishable with a fine.”
