Weather alert: Rain and thunderstorms forecasted for next 3 days in DK and Udupi

Mangalore/Udupi: A “Yellow Alert” has been issued for the next three days due to expected rain in the coastal areas. Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are likely to see good rain with thunder and lightning.

On Tuesday, many parts of Udupi district experienced heavy rain. The weather was sunny and cloudy from morning to afternoon. In the evening, Udupi, Manipal, and Malpe received good rain with thunder.

In Dakshina Kannada moderate rainfall was recorded in some places on Monday night. On Tuesday morning, cloudy weather was seen across the district, but rainfall was low.

A house belonging to Anil D’Souza in Kolombe, Herur, Brahmavara was damaged when a tree fell on it.

In Mangalore, the maximum temperature recorded was 34.1°C, slightly above normal. The minimum temperature was 23.4°C, slightly below normal.
