What Amazon boss Jeff Bezos did on India trip: Kite-flying in kurta to Raj Ghat visit

New Delhi: Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is making the most of his time during his India tour and populating Instagram with videos. On Makar Sankranti, Bezos enjoyed flying kites with children in Delhi and Instagrammed a short clip that went viral within no time.

“It brings back memories,” Bezos, dressed in a traditional kurta and pants, told the children while flying kites. “My kite-flying instructors. You are excellent teachers,” he said before signing off. In Bezos’s words, “Any day is a good day when you get to fly a kite.”

Bezos landed in India on January 14 and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at the Raj Ghat in New Delhi. He was dressed in a white kurta and pants paired with an orange bandhgala jacket.

“Just landed in India and spent a beautiful afternoon paying my respects to someone who truly changed the world. “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” – Mahatma Gandhi,” Bezos captioned his post on Instagram.

Bezos’s videos on Instagram garnered a whole lot of likes while his fans and followers welcomed him to India. “Welcome, Sir,” netizens greeted Bezos in the comments section of the post.

Jeff Bezos kicked off his three-day visit to India on Tuesday to review Amazon’s India operations and meet industrialists.
