Sofia Vergara is the world’s highest-paid actress of 2020, with earnings of $43 million (₹315 crore), as per Forbes.

She is followed by Angelina Jolie and Gal Gadot, with $35.5 million (₹260 crore) and $31.5 million (₹230 crore) earnings respectively. Meryl Streep ($24 million), Emily Blunt ($22.5 million), Nicole Kidman ($22 million), Ellen Pompeo ($19 million), Elisabeth Moss ($16 million) and Viola Davis ($15.5 million) are also on the list

According to Forbes, most of Vergara’s earnings came from Modern Family and America’s Got Talent, which she padded up with endorsement deals. She made $500000 per episode for the show, while America’s Got Talent makes her $10 million per season.

On the other hand, Angelina Jolie’s biggest paycheck comes from her starring role in The Eternals, the upcoming Marvel movie that has a $200 million budget.

Notably, no Indian actress has featured on the list this year.
