U.S. Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden is now stepping up his campaign for US elections. The powerful and supporting backbone to Biden is his highly qualified wife Dr. Jill Biden.

She is a former Second Lady of the United States and is second to none in her ability to introduce Joe Biden as a multi-dimensional human being

As reported by BBC, Jill Jacobs was born in June 1951 in the US state of New Jersey. The oldest of five sisters, she grew up in the Philadelphia suburb of Willow Grove.

After graduating from high school, she briefly pursued a degree in fashion merchandising, but ultimately decided to major in English at the University of Delaware.

Prior to marrying Joe, she was married to former college football player Bill Stevenson. Joe Biden lost his first wife and his one-year-old daughter in a car accident in 1972. His sons Beau and Hunter both survived the accident.

Jill says she was introduced to Joe through his brother in 1975. At that time, he was a senator, while she was still in college. The couple married in New York City in 1977. Their daughter, Ashley, was born in 1981.

She began her career as an English teacher in local public schools and a psychiatric hospital right after graduating from the University of Delaware.

Later, she earned two masters degrees, one in reading and another in English, all while working and raising a family with Joe. She taught English composition at Delaware Technical and Community College for 15 years.

Mrs Biden was professor of English at Northern Virginia Community College while her husband served as vice-president.

She has worked on many issues as the former Second Lady of the United States when her husband was the Vice President to President Barack Obama.

In the year 2012, her book Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops was released. It is based on true events and revolves around the story of a military family’s experience with deployment through the eyes of Dr. Biden’s granddaughter, Natalie, during the year her father is deployed to Iraq.
