Why #BoycottDabangg3 is trending on twitter?

Mumbai: Dabangg 3 starring Salman Khan, one of the most anticipated movies of this year is caught in yet another controversy. Many users on social media have raised objections for the song ‘Hud Hud Dabang’ which released on November 14, as this song shows the sages dancing behind Salman Khan by the holy riverside. We could also see holy trinity, Bramha-Vishnu-Maheshwara blessing Salman which they claim to be disrespecting their religion.

According to the users, these inappropriate representations of sages hurt the sentiments of Hindus and Hindu culture as many Sages have reformed the country’s culture and civilization over the years.

Another reason behind this outburst of Twitteratis is that of the Bollywood filmmakers targetting Hindu culture in films such as ‘Oh My God’, ‘PK’ and ‘Zero’. It seems like Dabangg 3 makers haven’t learnt any lesson from these controversies in the past as they have used Hindu props in this film yet again.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has taken a step forward by submitting an appeal to the Central Board Of Film Certification demanding to with-held Certification to the film until the scenes hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus are deleted. As per reports, the filmmakers or Film Certification Board have not responded to the appeal yet.

Prior to this, the film fell into controversies, when its trailer shot showed a few Shivlings covered with wooden planks.

Salman Khan and Sonakshi will be reprising their role from the previous editions of the franchise. Kicha Sudeep will be on board as a new antagonist with Saiee Manjreker as a debutant in Dabangg 3. This film is directed by Prabhudeva and expected to release on December 20 this year.
