Why did Pejavara Swamiji cover his face during Pran Pratishtha ritual?

During the Pran Patishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, Seer Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, the pontiff of Sri Pejavara Matha, covered his face in the sanctum sanctorum. Do you know why?

This act was following a Shastra guideline that one should not look at God while offering Naivedya to the deity. PM Modi, who was offering bhakshya and fruits to Ram Lalla during the ceremony, was accompanied by Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji.

The Swamiji, who was standing close to PM Modi, covered his face with his saffron garment during the rituals.

Additionally, the Swamiji chanted mantras and provided advice and instructions to the Prime Minister at certain moments.
