Wife, mother suicide after man’s death

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a a 42-year-old woman and her mother-in-law committed suicide by hanging themselves at their house in Muthyalanagar in Yeshwanthpur after her husband died of illness.

The deceased have been identified as Sheshapani (44), his wife Usha Nandini (42) and his mother Sudha Lakshmi (68).  The family hailed from Andhra Pradesh and settled in the city several years ago.

Police found three decomposed bodies, two of them of women, were found at a house on Sunday.

It has been gathered that, the woman were depressed over her husband’s untimely death and later hanged herself in the same house. 

Preliminary investigation reveals that while the man died nearly a week ago, the two women committed suicide by hanging.  

The incident came to light on Saturday evening after the house owner experienced foul smell and alerted the police control room.

Yeshwanthpur police have registered a case.
