Wild Elephants Kill Two CRPF Jawans in Banneghatta Forest of Karnataka

Bengaluru: Two Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) personnel were died as a group of elephants attacked the duo at Kaggalipura in Bannerghatta Sanctuary on Sunday morning. The deceased have been identified as Haveri based Puttappa (35) and Murthy (56) from Tamil Nadu.
Murthy was died on the spot soon after the attack while Puttappa was lost his life when he was on his way to the hospital. Senior forest officials have rushed into the area after the incident. As many as 200 elephants have reportedly arrived Bannerghatta national park in search of food and water following severe water shortage in the current summer season.
