Bengaluru: Referring to his maiden press conference as the Chief Minister on Wednesday, H.D. Kumaraswamy has given a statement that he is ready to apologise if his remarks have hurt any seer. In the press conference, Kumaraswamy had indirectly attacked Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swami, the seer of Sanehalli Taralabalu Mutt, for his criticism of the coalition government. HDK had lashed out at the seer and had reportedly said that seers should refrain from politics.
The seer, in turn, responded through a letter to the CM where he ridiculed him for his ‘loose talks’. The CM also received criticism from the BJP for attacking the seer. Now, Kumaraswamy has agreed to apologise to the seer if his comments have disrespected him. “I respect all seers and if my comments have hurt anyone, I am ready to apologize. However, I will not take anyone lightly and expect no one to take my government lightly,” he said. He also added that he had not received any letter from any seer.
