Will decide soon on lockdown extension: Dy CM Savadi

Raichur: Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi has stated that a decision on extending the lockdown in the State will be announced soon.

Speaking to reporters in the city here, he added that almost all chief ministers in the country have desired to extend the lockdown.

He further stated that all roads have been sealed at the borders with neighbouring states as many of them have a higher count of COVID-19 positive cases.

Savadi also stated that China after successfully containing the spread of the virus has seen a spike in cases especially relapses. Hence, he advised, all of us must strictly adhere to social distancing norms and not move out of our homes.

He added that transit services in those districts where there are no COVID-19 positive cases could be relaxed and advised farmers to make use of advanced farming technologies during the lockdown period.
