Karkala: Radhakrishna Hiragana has said that he will file a defamation case against Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar and other BJP leaders for saying that he has committed an anti-national action.
Speaking at a news conference, he said that if he has posted what is claimed to be insulting of soldiers, then he would want to be punished or even hanged.
“In the past, I have visited the police station four times and one time my statement was taken. Each time I have signed in the visitor’s book. However, the MLA still claimed that I am absconding from the proceedings,” Radhakrishna said.
A case was registered at the Karkala police station regarding a social media post purportedly insulting soldiers. It was alleged that Radhakrishna was assaulted by a Sub Inspector from the station during the inquiry.
