Will not allow TN to take Kaveri’s excess water says CM BSY

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said that Tamil Nadu is planning to use the excess water from the Kaveri river for the Kaveri-Gundar river linking project which the Karnataka government has opposed and will not allow for any reason.

Speaking to reporters, he said there was no use of them making statements now. For no reason will there be any exchange.

“Our disposition will be stern regarding this issue. We are yet to decide to call an all-party meeting on this, the chief minister added.

He also said that meetings of all departments regarding the budget will end today. Tomorrow necessary preparation for the budget will be done. I will be having discussions with the heads of all the departments.

Responding to a question om the Panchamasali reservation issue, Yediyurappa said that the minister from the community will hold a news conference today and he will answer all the questions.
