Chickmagalur: BJP senior leader K S Eshwarappa on Monday reacting to Pejawar Swamiji’s announcement said that he was prepared to take the seer to River Ganga if he gets an opportunity. His remarks came after the Pejawar seer had openly expressed displeasure over the performance of Modi-led NDA government especially in fulfilling poll promises.
It might be reviewed that Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math scrutinized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not fulfilling few promises he had made before taking office.
“Modi had promised to bring back black money accumulated abroad and to clean River Ganga. Be that as it may, these have not been finished. Yet, I concur that the government has succeeded to some degree where the nation’s economy is concerned,” Swamiji had said.
Reacting to Swamiji, Eshwarappa stated, “I am stunned by Swamiji’s statement. The state of River Ganga was bad. But, after the NDA government came to power, it has taken a few measures to clean Ganga and handle black money. Pejawar Swamiji might not have seen Ganga recently. The condition at Ganga has enhanced and on the off chance that I get an open door I will take Swamiji to River Ganga” he said.
