Woman, 3-yr-old son abducted from residence in broad daylight

Kasargod: A woman and her three-year-old son were abducted from their residence here in broad daylight on Friday, August 31, it is gathered.
The abducted – Meenu, 23, wife of Manoj and the couple’s son Sai Krishna are residents of Velladka.
The incident took place when the mother-son duo were alone at home. The gang, reportedly arrived in a car after Manoj had left home for work and barged into their residence. Somehow Meenu had managed to call Manoj and let him know about the barged entry, but the call got disconnected. Apparently, Manoj tried contacting her after the call got disconnected, but the mobile phone had been switched off by then.
People who heard the woman cry for help rushed to their rescue but the gang is said to have escaped the scene with the mother-son duo.
SP Dr. A. Srinivas, DYSP PK Sudhakaran, PSI Ranjit Ravindran visited the spot and began investigations.
