Woman assaulted and molested over land dispute

Mandya: A mid-aged woman endured injuries after being attacked by a man and his two sons over a land dispute at B.B. Kaval, K.R. Pet taluk, of Mandya district. 

The victim, who is a resident of Bandihole, has additionally claimed that she was molested by Kale Gowda, 60, and his sons Chethan, 30, and Praveen, 28, close to her land. 

The incident took place on Thursday and a complaint was lodged on Friday. The trio is absconding and endeavors are on to trace them, the K.R. Pet Rural police said. 

As per the victim, she had an argument with the accused men relating to a piece for land. All the three, alongside some others, came to the land and attacked her. The episode occurred in front of the public view. The accused attacked and molested the victim and threatened to kill her. Some people who were at the spot rescued the woman.

One of the eye witnesses recorded the episode on his cell phone and shared the videos. The police will check the background of the accused and take action against them.
