Woman commits suicide over domestic row in Uttar Pradesh

Muzaffarnagar:  A 26-year-old allegedly woman committed suicide by setting herself on fire over a domestic dispute in a village in Shamli district, the police said today. Gulista Begum killed herself in the Nala village area following a dispute with her mother-in-law yesterday, they said.

She had suffered severe burn injuries when she was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead, the police said. In another incident, Sushil Kumar Kashyap (22) allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in Rampuri village in Muzaffarnagar district yesterday, they said.

According to officials, he was rushed to a district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The motive behind his suicide is not immediately known, they said.
