Woman commits suicide over dowry harassment

Bengaluru: A newly married woman allegedly committed suicide over dowry harassment by her mother-in-law, at HSR layout in the city.
The girl has been identifed as Vanitha (28) daughter of a corporator in Mysuru, was found hanging from the ceiling of her room last night.
Police said she left behind a four-page suicide note, in which she said her mother-in-law had been harassing her daily over dowry. The death note also alleged that her mother-in-law did not give her proper food.
She had got married to a techie from Chennai five months back. Police said the woman’s mother-in-law and husband were detained and were being questioned.
