Woman ends her life after killing children

Bengaluru: A mentally sick lady allegedly killed her two kids and committed suicide. The tragic incident took place in Sanjaynagar near Marathahalli on Thursday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Ramalaxmi (28) and her four year old daughter Haasini and two year old son Yashavanth. Ramalaxmi was married to Magendra for five years. She was residing with her husband, children and in-laws Rathnappa and Rabemma. Magendra and Ramalakshmi were living in Andhra Pradesh with their children and had come to Bengaluru on Sunday to consult doctors at Nimhans for Ramalaxmi’s mental Illness.
The incident happened when Ramalaxmi’s husband and in-laws had gone out for work in the morning at around 8 am. Ramalaxmi drenched her children with kerosene and set them ablaze. Later, she embraced the children who were on fire and committed suicide by setting herself on fire.
After hearing their screams, the neighbours rushed to help, but could not save them.
The HAL police have filed a case and are investigating the same. According to the police, Ramalaxmi was mentally ill and the doctors at Nimhans had prescribed some medicines and had given an appointment on Monday.
