A 30-year-old flyer has been accused of groping a female co-passenger on a Bengaluru-bound flight from Chennai.

Based on the victim’s complaint, police lodged a case of sexual harassment against the accused, a salesman residing in Chennai.

The incident took place on April 18 on the Chennai-Bengaluru IndiGo flight 6E 6225. The woman, aged 27, in her complaint mentioned that she warned the man, who was seated behind when he first groped her chest after the flight took off. The co-passenger, however, continued to grope her three to four times more following which the victim complained to the cabin crew.

She was then given a different seat for the rest of the journey. Upon landing in Bengaluru, the victim approached the cops to file the complaint. As per reports a couple travelling on the flight were witnesses to the incident and had testified to the crew.
