It’s not uncommon to come across people who have weird addictions these days. Some people are hooked to sniffing glue, while others are addicted to eating chalk.

Nicole’s narrative, however, is unmistakably unique. She is from Michigan, USA. Nicole stated on TLC’s “My Strange Addiction” that she scrapes lime off her house’s walls and swallows it six times a day. Nicole mentioned on the broadcast that she enjoyed the smell of dried walls. She enjoys the texture and flavour of the wall so much that she eats 3.2 square feet of it in a week. She claims that everytime she has a hunger, she begins ripping chunks of the wall away.

And it’s not just the walls of her house that have been affected by her eating habits. She also claimed to have ingested lime from the walls of her friends’ and relatives’ homes.

After her mother died five years ago, she developed an addiction to lime, which she kept hidden from other family members, including her own daughter, she said. Nicole stated that she enjoyed trying different types of walls. Walls with thick paint coats have a distinct flavour from those with thin paint coats.

The grainy sort of wall is her favourite since it tastes crunchy. Doctors have cautioned Nicole, however, that her habit of eating lime off walls could lead to cancer because the paint is carcinogenic. Nicole, on the other hand, claims to be helpless in the face of her addiction.
