Woman killed after ambulance rams into scooter near KPT

Mangaluru: In a tragic road accident, a person was killed and another person was severely injured after an ambulance hit their vehicle on Thursday, January 30 near KPT here.

The deceased has been identified as Sujatha Shetty, a resident of Gurpur. The identity of the injured is yet to be ascertained.

As per sources, the accident took place when the ambulance that was reportedly carrying a dead body to Coimbatore rammed into Sujatha’s two-wheeler killed her on the spot, while her pillion rider was severely injured.

Following the accident, the body in the ambulance was taken to Coimbatore by another vehicle.

Kadri police have registered a case in this regard and ambulance involved in the accident has been confiscated by Kadri police.
