Woman killed in car-lorry accident

Madikeri: A lady was killed in an accident between a car and lorry at Aanekadu near Kushalnagar on June 13. 

The deceased has been identified as Philomena, resident of Katakeri. 

Philomena along with her son Praveen Daniel and daughter-in-law was setting out to the Dornahalli Church in Mysuru. Praveen, who is an officer with the Indian Army, was on a vacation and was driving the car when the accident happened. 

Praveen who endured severe injuries has been moved to a hospital in Mangaluru. Praveen’s wife got away with minor wounds. 

Observers said that the car collided with an approaching lorry when the driver attempted to over take another vehicle. Police have enrolled a case.
