While all of us fart, and we normally try and hold out until the room stops smelling and get back to our business, an American woman Lush Botanica who is also a YouTuber and adult star reveals she has made over $25,000 or Rs 18 lakh by selling her farts online.
She explained on a Channel 4 documentary that she was contacted by someone on the internet who asked her to make a custom fart video.
In a YouTube video, she revealed that she was reluctant to fart on camera, she went along with it and the video ended up being one of her most popular videos.
In an interview, she said, “I have been doing this business for three years. I kept getting requests over and over…I thought ‘you know what, people will pay me for this and I’m going to do it’.”
Lush is lactose intolerant, and hence likes to eat a variety of cheeses in order to get her stomach brewing farts.
She said that parmesan makes her farts really “sulphury” while mozzarella gives her “those big bubbly farts”.
She also sends out jars of farts and items that have been farted on. She recalled that once she farted on a flavoured lollipop for a customer.
Lush uses Instagram, Twitter and Reddit to post her fart videos throughout the week in the hope of attracting more customers.
Talking about the strangest request she got, she revealed that a customer once asked her to fart on a tiny figurine from a model train set.
She has so far made more than $25,000 (Rs 18.5 lakh). She revealed she can charge up to $175 (£130) per passing of wind and the most amount of money she’s made in a single day was close to $4,000 (£2,900).
