Woman, paramour booked for killing husband

Muzaffarnagar (UP): A woman and her paramour were booked for allegedly poisoning her husband to death here, the police said today.

The duo, who are absconding, allegedly killed Afsar Ali, 30, in Subhash Nagar locality for opposing his wife’s affair with the man, according to a complaint lodged by Ali’s brother, Nawab.

Ali was found dead in his house on July 9 and his wife had alleged that he committed suicide by consuming poison, a police official said.

A case of murder has been registered yesterday after investigation, he added.
