Mangaluru: A woman who had come to Lady Goshen hospital to provide maternity care to her daughter has gone missing from the hospital. The missing woman is Indira (45) from Karkala.

On May 4th, Indira admitted her pregnant daughter Surpriya to Lady Goshen hospital in Mangaluru accompanied by her son-in-law Karthick after the doctors in Karkala gave her the possible date of conceiving her child. Karthick returned back to his village on the same day as Indira stayed back at the hospital with her daughter. On May 6th, when Indira was speaking in a loud voice within the ward, the hospital staff asked her to remain outside the ward.

On May 7th, Supriya gave birth to her child and hence, the staff called Indira in to have a look at the child, but she wasn’t there. Karthick reached at around 10 and searched for his mother-in-law throughout the hospital, but to no avail. Hence, Indira’s husband Vasant Mugera has given a complaint in this connection to Bunder police station on Thursday.

Indira is 5 feet 1 inch tall, black complexion, hair is black in colour with a mixture of white hair and was last seen wearing a grey and black spotted nighty. It is requested that any sign of her finding be kindly informed to Bunder police.
