Mangaluru:  A 40-year-old woman’s three bank accounts were hacked and looted of Rs 1.3 lakh to different mobile e-payment services.

The victim was unaware of the incident as she didn’t receive any SMS on money transfers from the Banks.

The incident came to light only when the victim visited the banks to get her passbooks updated. Transactions in the passbooks revealed that money was transferred to mobile wallets.

“Hackers transferred money from her accounts between June 1 and September 19. The victim has three accounts in three different banks and she never received any SMS alert when the funds were transferred,” police added.

In her complaint to the cybercrime police, she said that nearly Rs 1.3 lakh was transferred to Paytm, Mobikwik and One97 Communications.
