Won’t allow curtailing Assembly time for any reason: DKShi

Bengaluru: KPCC D K Shivakumar stated that the Congress will not allow the shortening of the State’s Assembly session to three days under any circumstances.
Speaking to reporters, he said that in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the chief minister called me and Siddaramaiah and told us that the session will be only for 3 days. But we will not allow it.
He added that the State government is doing so because it fears being exposed for scams.
Drought, floods, law and order situation have all deteriorated in the State. The Centre is not providing any relief. All this needs to be debated. BJP is trying to end democracy we will not cooperate with them in that. We will ask for a few more days extension of the Assembly session.
