Mysuru: Former Karnataka State Minister, State BJP leader SA Ramdas said he and his party won’t allow Karnataka state government to shut Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). Speaking in a press conference in Mysuru on Sunday, he said, lakhs of students have completed their education in KSOU and if the state government shuts the university, then it would become a major injustice to them.
He further added that he and his party will hold discussions with the students of KSOU at the university premises on October 8 to discuss next course of action. Earlier, Karnataka state government had decided to shut the university after University Grants Commission (UGC) rejected university’s application to renew its recognition.
