Bengaluru: Former JD(S) minister GT Devegowda on Monday held a meeting with Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa at his residence in Bengaluru.
Addressing presspersons after holing a meeting with Yediyurappa, GT Devegowda said, “Several developmental works at the Chamundeshwari constituency have been stopped. That’s why I met the chief minister to apprise him of the situation.”
He further added, “Neither have I been invited to join the BJP nor have I ever said I am quitting JD(S). I am deeply hurt. That’s why I am staying away from party programmes.”
“I won’t say anything for three and a half years. There is no question of my joining another party. People have elected me to work and it is my job to fulfil their expectations,” he added.
Meanwhile, JD(S) leaders in Mysuru said that they will continue their efforts to mollify GT Deve Gowda, who had publicly expressed his disillusionment with the party leadership.
It may be recalled that GT Deve Gowda had praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s national president Amit Shah publicly and was hobnobbing with BJP leaders in Mysuru.
