World Vegetarian Day 2020: All you need to know

World Vegetarian Day is celebrated on October 1 every year by people across the globe. The aim is to help create a better world as a vegetarian diet has proven benefits

The day was established by the North American Vegetarian Society in 1977 to promote a vegetarian lifestyle and make people aware of the benefits of eating a vegan diet.

The main mission of the World Vegetarian Day is to “promote the joy, compassion and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism”.

Celebrations for World Vegetarian Day begin right on October 1st but continue till November 1st. The day concludes with the added celebration of International Vegan Day on November 1st.

Special workshops and talks are conducted worldwide. These workshops talk about a vast range of topics like healthier ways of living, vegetarian ways of life, vegetarians and more enormous benefits, etc.
