Writer Richie John Pais chosen for Dr T M A Pai Award

Udupi: Writer Richie John Pais will be conferred with the Best Konkani Book Award 2018, instituted by Dr T M A Foundation in recognition of his contribution made to Konkani Language and Literature.

The Award carries Rs 10,000 in cash and a citation.

‘Fathor’, a collection of Konkani short stories authored by Richie John Pais was published in 2017 has been chosen for the Dr. T. M.A. Pai Best Konkani Book Award 2018.

Apart from him, a Konkani book ‘Gonyachya Lokavedache Saundarya Shastra’, authored by Goa-based has been picked for the ‘best Konkani work’ award for the year 2018. The award carries Rs 25,000 in cash and a citation.

Writers and publishers of books, written in Devanagari, Kannada or Roman script and published between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2017 were asked to send their entries before September 30, 2019.
