Chinese Communist government claimed that only around 3,000-4,000 residents of Wuhan died from the deadly coronavirus. But, residents of the city are claiming that the number is considerably higher.

Sources claim that nearly 42,000 people died from the disease. This week, seven large funeral homes in Wuhan have been handing out the cremated remains of around 500 people to their families every day.It is estimated that all seven funeral homes in Wuhan are handing out 3,500 remains every day in total.

Funeral homes have informed families that they will try to complete cremations before the traditional grave-tending festival of Qing Ming on April 5, which would indicate a 12-day process beginning on March 23.

One Wuhan resident claimed that the city officials have been handing out 3,000 yuan in funeral allowances as “hush money” to keep a lid on the actual fatality rate.

Earlier, it was said that three major cell phone carriers in China together, had lost almost 15 million users between Jan- Feb 2020. Twitter users claimed that China lied about true figures of Covid-19 victims in the past and are continuing to do so.

Well, now there are speculations that some people might have died of the coronavirus without ever being tested for the disease and a few might have died from other conditions because they were unable to get adequate care on account of the city’s overburdened health system.
