Kalaburagi: Yadgir MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur accused the BJP of unnecessarily dragging Minister Priyank Kharge’s name into the contractor Sachin Panchal’s suicide case.
He claimed that Kharge’s name was not mentioned in the deceased’s note and called BJP’s demand for a CBI probe a political conspiracy.
Patil emphasized that the case is already under CID investigation and that the Karnataka Police are capable of uncovering the truth. He asserted that Kharge need not resign.
Highlighting Kharge’s integrity and achievements as IT/BT Minister, Patil accused BJP of targeting him out of “political jealousy.”
He assured the government and Congress party’s support for Kharge and predicted BJP’s tactics would backfire with public backlash.
