Yakshagana presenter Dr N Shimanturu Narayana Shetty no more

Mangaluru: Yakshagana presenter and a researcher of Kannada prosody Dr N Shimanturu Narayana Shetty passed away today at a private hospital here.
Shetty was 86 years old.
Shetty has composed four works related to Yakshagana prosody: “Yakshagana Chandobudhi,” “Kannadada Anarghya Ratnagalu,” “V-Chitra Tripadi,” and “Desi Chandhobandhagala Puduvattu.”
He was fondly called ‘Chandobrahma’ (the Brahma of Prosody) and was bestowed with an honorary Doctorate for Yakshagana Chandobudhi.
