Yakshagana prodigy Tulasi Hegde chosen for ‘Bala Gaurava’ award

Sirsi: In recognition of her exceptional talent in the Yakshagana art form, Tulasi Hegde, a young artist from Sirsi, has been awarded the state-level ‘Bala Gaurava’ award by the Karnataka Balavikas Academy of the Women and Child Development Department.
Tulasi, who is currently studying in class 8 at Marikamba Government High School, has already made a name for herself in the world of Yakshagana with her captivating performances. Her dedication to promoting world peace through her art has earned her widespread recognition at both state and national levels.
The award ceremony, which is set to take place on March 27 in Dharwad, will acknowledge the achievements of children across eight distinct categories.
Tulasi’s passion for Yakshagana has been apparent since she was very young, and her hard work and dedication have paid off in the form of numerous awards and accolades, including mentions in the India Book of Records and International Book of Records. Her performances, including her Vishwashanthi series of Yakshagana, have captivated audiences and demonstrated her exceptional talent and creativity.
