Yashoda-Krishna Competition: Contributes to strengthening cultural roots: ADC Veena

Udupi: The prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the “Mane Maneyalli Yashoda – Krishna Photo Competition-2022” held by “Udayavani” in collaboration with Udyavara’s Jayalaxmi Silks was held at Hotel Woodlands Hall on Tuesday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Veena B N, who was the chief guest for the event, said that the press must also propagate culture as the fourth pillar of the Indian Constitution. She commended “Udayavani” for its innovative competition that will help in shaping the cultural awareness of future generations.
Sandhya Subhash Kamath of Abharan Motors said that Yashoda played a prominent role in Krishna’s formative years. Yashoda hard work was pivotal in raising the courage, fortitude, and love that Krishna displayed his entire life, she noted.
Aparna Ravindra Hegde of the Udyavara Jayalaxmi Silks commended all the participants in the competition and congratulated the winners. Jayalaxmi Silks will continue to support all activities undertaken by Udayavani, she said.
In his keynote address, the Managing Director and CEO of MMNL, Mr. Vinod Kumar said that Yashoda-Krishna have a special place in the heart of Indian culture and life. The role of Yashoda is also important in shaping the personality of Krishna as God, he added.
Mr. Vinod Kumar also thanked the readers for their participation and support of Udayavani’s efforts and hoped to get similar encouragement in the future.
Jayalaxmi Virendra Hegde of Jayalaxmi Silks also extended her best wishes.
Udayavani Editor Aravind Navada welcomed the guests, MMNL (Magazines and Special Projects) Vice President Ramachandra Mijar was the emcee of the event. News Editor Rajesh Mulki delivered the vote of thanks.
