Yashwantpur police arrest five ganja dealers

Yashwantpur police arrested five alleged ganja dealers while posing as sari dealers.

The arrested have been identified as Nagendra (32) from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, Jameel alias Shiva (29) from Visakhapatnam, Ramanna (32), Kiran (28) and Manikantha (31).

The police confiscated nearly 53kg of ganja from their possession.

According to the police the accused used to procure the ganja from a Kakinada-based man and then sell it at high prices to buyers near Jayaram Colony and Yashwantpur Station.

The gang would bring the ganja to Bengaluru via a private bus consignment concealed in bags containing sarees.

Kiran and Manikantha fell into police trap while they were selling the ganja near Jayaram Colony.

A case has been registered.
