Mangalore: The Government has appointed Yatish Ullal, a senior-ranking Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) officer from Madikeri, as the new Registrar (Administration) of Mangalore University.
Dr. Raju K., who previously served as the Special Land Acquisition Officer at Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB), has been handling the responsibilities as the in-charge Mangalore University until now.
Yatish Ullal, with a distinguished career as the Sub-Divisional Officer in Madikeri, will now take on the role of Registrar (Administration) at Mangalore University. His appointment comes as part of the government’s decision to fill this key administrative position within the university.
Notably, the University Chancellor position has been vacant since June, prompting discussions about the delay in appointing a new chancellor. Despite recommendations from the search committee, the government has yet to finalize the appointment, leading to ongoing speculation and anticipation within the academic community.
