Yeddyurappa wins, KPJP secures one seat

Bengaluru: While it was expected that only either of the three dominant parties- BJP, JD(S) and Congress- would win seats in the elections, the KPJP has been declared victorious in Ranibennur. Party candidate R. Shankar has won the seat with 63,910 votes against Congress candidate Krishnappa Koliwad.

Chief Ministerial candidate B.S. Yeddyurappa has won his seat from Shikaripur by a margin of 35,397 votes. He has secured 86,983 votes while his Congress rival G.H. Malathesh secured 51,586 votes, followed by JD(S) nominee H.T. Baligar with 13,191 votes.
