Yelahanka: 15 engineers injured in blast at KPCL plant

Bengaluru: As many as 15 persons suffered burn injuries in a blast reported at the Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) plant in Yelahanka.
The incident took place at around 3 am on Friday, October 2.
A total of 15 engineers, who were on the site at the time of the mishap suffered burn injuries. All the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals. The condition of one of the injured persons is said to be critical.
It is suspected that a gas leak from one of the turbines triggered the blast.
The plant had been shut following a court order and was due to be commissioned soon.
