Yoga Day: BBMP’s vaccination drive; target to vaccinate 65,000 people

Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has set a target to vaccinate 65,000 people against COVID-19 today on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

It has planned 361 sessions and deployed 433 vaccinators for the campaign.

BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta has instructed officials to ensure vaccination to eligible beneficiaries, saying that the campaign “must be made successful”.

Also, the state government has a target of vaccinating seven lakh people on Monday. Health Minister K Sudhakar said the ‘Lasika Mela’ would cover all eligible groups apart from priority groups and the vulnerable population.
