Dharwad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) detained Chandrasekhar Indi, maternal uncle of former minister Vinay Kulkarni from his residence in Vijayapura in connection with the murder of zilla panchayat BJP member Yogesh Gowda

Vinay Kulkarni is already in police custody and Indi is now facing charges of giving revolver to contract killers to murder Gowda. Also, it is said that the contract of killing Yogesh Gowda was given to the Bheema Basin gang.

Sources claim, contract of killing Yogesh Gowda was initially given to Dharmaraja Chadachana, a member of Bheema Basin gang . But as he was not able to carry out the job, Indi asked Dharamaraja to give three country pistols instead of the money given.  After the murder, the three pistols were hidden near a village which has now been confiscated by  CBI
