Bengaluru: The murder case of Dharwad Zilla Panchayat member Yogesh Gowda was handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by the state government.
Yogesh Gowda was hacked to death in Dharwad on July 15 when he was on his way to gymnasium and all six of the accused were arrested by the police within 48 hours.
It may be recalled that the cops probing the case had said that the property dispute pertaining to Gowda could be one of the reasons for the dastardly killing.
Gowda was also a close associate of Union Minister Prahlad Joshi.
