Arun Bothra, a senior IPS officer, made Twitter laugh with his latest post. Mr Bothra, Odisha’s Transport Commissioner, uploaded a photo of a suitcase packed with green peas on Wednesday. He said the photo was taken at the Jaipur airport, where security officers ordered him to open his hand luggage for a closer look, maybe after scanners detected something peculiar within.

According to the IPS officer, opening the suitcase showed a suitcase full of fresh peas that had been purchased for Rs 40 per kilogram.

“Security staff at Jaipur airport asked to open my handbag,” read the caption.

The post prompted a response from IAS officer Awanish Sharan, who shared his own experience of carrying vegetables on flights.
