Young man loads 74 tonnes of sugarcane onto tractor in 16.30 hours; sets record

Rabkavi Banhatti: Organising sugarcane loading contests is a common game in the Bagalkot district and this time Bhirappa Ningappa Chamakeri from here has set a record by loading 74 tonnes of sugarcane in 16.30 hours.

The 21 year old started loading sugarcane into tractors at 6:30 pm on Sunday, January 31 and finished filling the tractors late in the morning next day.

Bhirappa was helped in his feat by Mahadeva Basargi, Lakkappa Karigar, Vittal Karigar, Siddappa Karigar, Babu Karigar, Kareppa Karigar, Sadashiva Hanagandi, Sadashiva Jiddimani, Bhirappa Karigar, Shabbir Pendari, Mahesh Bhujing, Goseer Jambagi, Sangappa Busi, Basu Hosuru, Hanumanta Jarali, Eshwar Patil, and others.
