Mall Communal Violence case: Two more arrested

Mangaluru: Two more youth have been arrested on Thursday relating to the assault of a young man named Manjunath from Bantwal at a mall on Wednesday, September 25. The accused are Mohammed Markaz (19) and Farhaan Farooq (19).

Thus, the total number of persons arrested in connection to the case has now reached five including a juvenile.

Manjunath had been beaten up by a group of students after an argument broke out between a young man and him. A video of the man getting beaten up had gone viral on social media.

Post the incident, security has been beefed up at the mall in the city to avoid further untoward incidents.
