Youth attacked at Bantwal

Bantwal: A gang attacked a youth and at Kalladka on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Chetan, from Melkar.

Sources claimed that, Chetan had been to a fancy shop at Kelagina Pete, Kalladka, when Kiran Melkar, Yogish, Mohan, Keerthan, Lokesh and Vidyadhar, who arrived there in a Maruti Ritz car, attacked Chetan with cricket bats and wickets.

Chetan suffered injuries to his hand and chest, has been admitted to the government hospital here for treatment.

Dakshina Kannada district superintendent of police, Ravikanthe Gowda, stated that this attack was in attack of fights which took place at Melkar days ago.

Security has been beefed up at BC Road, Melkar, Kalladka, and Panemangaluru.

Further investigation is on.
