Bantwal: A youth ended his life by coming under the wheels of a rain at Goltamajalu Madaka near Kalladka. The deceased is identified as Purandar(28).
The deceased youth was working at a Maruti showroom and service centre. He had participated in the Gilkinjattaya fair at Veerakambha till 10.30 pm and also anchored a programme.
According to sources, Purandar was a bachelor but was an alcoholic. A few days ago, he had been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru for de-addiction from alcohol.
The reason behind his taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
