Youth Cong activists murder: Crime branch submit chargesheet to court

Kasargod: A charge sheet has been submitted to the court by the Crime Branch investigating the murder case of youth Congress activists Kripesh and Sharatlal.

The charge sheet was submitted after 92 days of the incident in the court of Hosadurga judicial magistrate.

As per the charge sheet, personal revenge and not political enmity was the reason for murders. Fourteen suspects are identified, CPM Periya zone committee member Pitambarn and his friend Saji G George are the primary suspects.

It is also stated that eight people including Pitambaran and Saji are directly involved while the remaining suspects had hacked the conspiracy and helped the suspects to flee.

With regard to this case, as many as 229 witnesses, 105 items and 50 documents were submitted to the court.
